This is an intensive yoga workshop with Carrie Owerko: The Power of Play in Practice: There is a Way
Feeling the spark of possibility is like seeing the sun shine through on a cloudy day. Play opens us up to a sense of what might be possible if we were to give ourselves the permission to move, and think differently. And play—like yoga—is about process. One of the brilliant facets of a disciplined practice that is infused with play is that the seemingly impossible can indeed feel possible. When we are in a state of play, everything works a little better—and we open ourselves up to an experience of both discipline and delight!
We will use this playful approach to explore the various challenges that the practice presents in a way that is not only fun, but allows for this sense of possibility. Through playful yet skillful practice we will approach familiar poses in new ways, and learn new poses as well. The practice will be deep, but also light hearted.”
